About me
I’m a qualified Mandarin teacher based in London, fluent in Mandarin (native), Cantonese (native), and English (fluent). I’m also a beginner in German and Vietnamese; I'm always excited to add new languages to my toolkit and keep learning along the way!
I hold a PGCE in Mandarin Chinese with EAL from UCL Institute of Education (University College London) and have QTS status in the UK. Additionally, I earned an MSc in International Management from King’s College London and a BSc in Marketing from Lancaster University.
I have over 6 years of experience teaching Mandarin in both mainstream schools and private tuition settings, working with learners of all ages and proficiency levels. My lessons are thoughtfully tailored to each student’s learning style and designed to build confidence, language skills, and cultural understanding in a supportive, engaging environment.
As a published Chinese writer, I bring creativity and storytelling into the classroom, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in business and entrepreneurship, an experience that has helped me connect with students from diverse backgrounds. I’m passionate about helping learners reach their goals and explore the richness of the Chinese language and culture.
