We offer Mandarin courses from absolute beginner (HSK 1–2) to advanced (HSK 5–6), including business Mandarin and specialised courses such as Mandarin for Cantonese Speakers. Each course is structured to match your learning needs and goals.

Not at all! We have beginner courses that require no prior knowledge of Mandarin. For intermediate and advanced courses, we recommend some background or a placement discussion during a trial lesson.

We recommend booking a trial lesson. Your tutor will assess your current level, discuss your learning goals, and suggest the most suitable course for your needs.

Each course is divided into three modules, with 10 lessons per module. Lessons are progressive and designed to build fluency step by step — covering speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural context.

Lessons typically last 90 minutes and include interactive activities, guided practice, and real-life language use.

Yes! We offer customised learning plans based on your goals, whether it’s conversational fluency, business communication, HSK exam prep, or cultural understanding.

Our core lessons are taught live, 1-on-1 or in small groups, by a qualified and experienced Mandarin tutor. Some courses also include supplementary recorded materials and self-study resources.

Yes! We offer small group classes designed for learners who enjoy studying with others. Group classes provide interaction and collaboration while keeping class sizes small for maximum speaking time and tutor feedback. You’re welcome to join with a friend or family member, or we can help match you with another student at a similar level. Group classes will run only if a minimum number of students sign up. We'll notify you if the class is rescheduled or cancelled due to low enrolment.

All courses are taught by Ivy Luo, a qualified and experienced Mandarin tutor with a strong background in education, business, and writing. She is a native speaker of both Mandarin and Cantonese, fluent in English, and has extensive experience teaching learners of all ages, in both school settings and private tuition. We use a mix of recognised textbooks (e.g. HSK Textbooks, Mandarin Chinese for Business by Inman Learning), authentic materials, and custom resources designed to enhance real-world communication.

For 1:1 Private Lessons: You can book the first lesson of your chosen plan before completing payment. During this initial session, your tutor will discuss your availability, and help you set up a recurring schedule that works for you. For Small Group Lessons: Your tutor will contact you before the course begins to confirm scheduling details and assist with setting up recurring lessons within your selected plan. Lesson Management: You’ll also have full access to your Member Area, where you can cancel or reschedule lessons easily. Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.

Booking Policy Enrollment and Payment Once payment is made, your spot in the course is secured. A Zoom link for your lessons will be sent to your email before the first session. Payments are final, but if any issues arise, please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist. Booking and Scheduling Enrolment and Payment Learners can book their first lesson and easily reschedule subsequent lessons in a plan online at times that best suit their schedule. Need to reschedule? Just give us at least 48 hours’ notice, and we’ll happily find a new time for you. Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the lesson might be harder to accommodate, but we’ll always try to help. Missed Lessons If you miss a lesson without prior notice, unfortunately, we can’t reschedule or refund it. If your tutor cancels, we’ll reschedule at your convenience or offer a refund. Course Materials and Access All course materials are provided online for easy access anytime. Please ensure you have a reliable internet connection and suitable device for your lessons.
